It is up a very dangerous 4WD mining road to a remote valley and this bloom only lasts in it’s prime, a week in mid July. Usually it is so very windy if the sun is out with blue sky that only video is possible. Most trips are disappointing as conditions do not lend themselves to shooting still images of the state flower. Columbine.
